Illegal Alcohol Sales Shutdown Winston-Salem Night Club After Community Complaints
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.
After receiving several complaints from the community about illegal activities occurring at a Winston-Salem business, the North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Division (ALE) launched an investigation into Maximum Private Lounge, located at 3301N Liberty Street in Winston-Salem.
During the investigation, undercover ALE special agents entered the establishment on multiple occasions and noted several ABC violations, including the sale of alcoholic beverages without permits.
As a result of these findings, ALE special agents, with assistance of the Winston-Salem Police Department, conducted a search warrant at Maximum in the early hours of August 8.
ALE special agents seized a half ounce of cocaine, approximately 10 firearms to include three stolen firearms. Several of the seized firearms were possessed by convicted felons. Agents also seized crack cocaine, alcohol and ammunition.

- Misdemeanor Possession/Consumption of Alcohol without Permits – 3 counts
